Bernd Lehmann

Bernd Lehmann is a German children's book illustrator now based in South Korea.

Born in 1982 in Cologne, Germany Bernd rediscovered his early passion for drawing while studying architecture in Aachen. Hence, he moved on to Muenster to study illustration. In 2007 he spent one year at a partner university in Seoul, South Korea, where he created his first graphic novel about paperless immigrants. "Amoung us" was selected at the exhibition of Bologna Children's Book Fair in 2009.

Since graduating in 2009 he has been professionally illustrating several children's books. After five lively years in Berlin and carnivalistic Cologne, Bernd and his wife decided to enjoy life and spicy food back in the sparkling 24 million metropole region Seoul, South Korea.
