Kado Muir

Kado Muir (1970) was born in the outback Western Australian town of Leonora. He is an Australian Aboriginal artist, a practicing social anthropologist and Indigenous rights activist. He is a leader of the Ngalia tribe and works strongly to represent his people in pursuing their rights to traditional territories through native title claims and cultural survival.

Kado has researched and published acdemic papers on Australian Aboriginal heritage and native title matters. He is an accomplished artist who'se artistic achievements specialise in printmaking and works on canvas. He is a fierce advocate for the rights of Indigenous Australians in land rights, protecting heritage, and recognising the value of traditional knowledge and cultural expression.

Kado is the author of "The Little Mongrel" an educational work book to increase understanding of Aboriginal culture in the deserts of Western Australia. He is currently writing a book of poetry based on his travels throughout Australia, meeting amazing Indigenous Australians and sharing the privilege he experiences in visiting their spectacular lands.

Kado has run for parliamentary elections at both the State and Federal levels for the Australian Greens.
