Richard Earl

Richard Earl is a 34 year veteran of pastoral ministry in a variety of small church contexts and roles. He has been lead pastor at Mountainside Assembly of God, a progressive Missional Pentecostal congregation, in Coal Township, Pa. in the heart of Pennsylvania's Anthracite Coal Region since 1998.

Rich earned his BA in Journalism from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. and also attended Berean School of the Bible. He specializes in church revitalization, missional outreach, church mobilization and leadership coaching. In addition to Shepherds Balm, he has been published in Rev Magazine and The Pentecostal Evangel.

Originally from Valley Stream, NY he has also served as associate pastor at Bethel Assembly of God in Franklin Square, NY, Director and houseparent at Calvary's Comfort Maternity Home in Selden, NY, Youth Pastor at Calvary Full Gospel in Yaphank, NY, and Senior Pastor at Hampton Bays Assembly of God, all on his native Long Island, NY.

Rich is founder and president of the Lehigh Christian Alumni: an alumni affinity group at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. where he attended on a wrestling scholarship. He serves as board chair of Coal Region Love IN (In the Name of Christ) in Coal Twp, Pa.

Rich lives with his wife Faith, and Art Therapist and three children in Sunbury, Pa.
