Jeffrey was born in the United Kingdom in 1970 and after travelling around the UK spent his formative years in the 1980s living in South Africa, and the Gambia, West Africa. This was an important experience for him contributing directly to developing a lasting interest in understanding the 'global picture' as well as a love of travel, outdoor pursuits and appreciation of other cultures.
Following completion of his Masters degree and P.h.D. scholarship (to study strategic decision making theory in Government) he joined the US based world's oldest management consultancy firm Arthur D. Little as a consultant in the Strategy & Organisation Practice where he was involved in consulting to a number of blue chip companies and government agencies, in the UK and mainland Europe and was the global competency expert in 'managing complexity' - using exotic tools and methods to work with Clients.
During the early 2000s he joined a listed Swiss strategy consulting boutique, Think Tools AG which specialised in strategic decision support techniques using a propriety software tool suite alongside classic consulting skills. In his final role as Consulting Director he had P&L responsibility for developing Client engagements and leading the international consulting effort in Europe, the United States and Asia.
Subsequent he has spent five years as a key member in the Group Business Development team of Babcock International Group PLC, a UK support services company specialising in providing a range of services to the UK Ministry of Defence. During the time in the role he was involved in many activities, not least of which was the targeting and execution of a series of acquisitions which have dramatically increased the size of the business in terms of profitability, turnover and staff, corporate strategic planning, campaign planning and execution for key defence projects and creating a Group level investor relations function. In addition Jeffrey represented the business at the Council of trade body the Defence Manufacturers Association (DMA) and the Economic Policy Committee of the Engineering Employers Federation (EEF). In addition Jeffrey contributed time as an adviser to the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) charity.
Jeffrey is currently Executive Editor of GlobalVision Magazine and Principal at boutique consulting firm Complexity Management International on strategic issues to a variety of Clients in Government and the Corporate sector and has been Research Director of think-tank, the UK Defence Forum (UKDF) since 2005.
Married, Jeffrey currently lives between the United Kingdom and the East Coast United States of America. Personal interests include the arts, cooking, current affairs, reading, photography, seasonal outdoors activities and socialising with friends.
