I was born in Massachusetts and moved to New York City in the 1980s to become an actor—and shortly after my arrival I joined a rock band as a drummer. That detour into music didn't last long, and instead of returning to acting, I turned to writing.
I've written annotations and liner notes for classical CDs, a few pop-oriented things for Earvolution, and I also wrote book reviews for the now-defunct British quarterly, Prometheus. I also write book reviews for IndieReader. Letter to a Prohibitionist is my first book.
