Susan Klauber

Susan Klauber, a Sudbury, Ontario native and University of Toronto graduate, who has lived and travelled around the world, has always been drawn by the power of foreign cultures to broaden her understanding of life. Since 1983, she has been based in Fairfield, Iowa where she writes and pursues her interest in spiritual development to create a better world.

Her latest book, Accidental Seeker: Precambrian Granite to Transcendental Flashlight is a deeply relevant and fun 1960s-'70s Age of Aquarius passage, a life-altering memoir/travel/spiritual adventure. From her birthplace in the beauty of Mother nature's Precambrian Shield in northern Ontario, she expands and deepens her life through free solo travel in Europe, and challenging experiences in South America to discover a transcendental world of universal awareness. She shares these adventures to reinspire the inner fire in everyone. Aren't we all accidental seekers?

Sound of the Sacred Beads is based upon her eight winters in India and draws on her many years of experience with meditation and inner searching to explore India and its universal wisdom. It is a powerful and vivid dive through the outer reality of physical India into its spiritual heart.

Blue Light Press published her first book of prose and poetry, Face-off at Center Ice in 1996. Her prose and poetry have appeared in the Harcourt Canada textbook, Elements of English 11, in the journals The MacGuffin, Poetry Motel (Sidebar), The Iowa Source, Contemporary Review, and in the anthologies Eclipsed Moon Coins: Twenty-six Visionary Poets, The Dryland Fish, and This Enduring Gift.

Prompted by age or wisdom, she has now made the transition from ardent athlete (hockey and golf) to occasional golfer.
