Edwin Haberfellner

Edwin Haberfellner was born in 1957 in Upper Austria. Following his internship abroad at the Bank of England in London, he worked as a group dynamics specialist and spent nine years at the Linz City Hospital before studying law at the University of Linz. Subsequently, he was employed at the Linz Building and Trade Licensing Office. From the 1990s onwards, he headed an IT development department at the City of Linz, was involved in the management of Linzer Seniorenzentrums GmbH, and led MAGAZIN, a magazine published by the City of Linz, for six years. Since 2021, he has been working as a freelance writer and lives in Austria.

Edwin Haberfellner is an award-winning crime fiction author, creator of the series featuring Munich detective Michael Schröck (six books), author of numerous short stories (Tatort series), and a two-time jury member for the Friedrich Glauser Prize, the most prestigious crime novel award after the German Book Prize.
