Marc Engelhardt

Marc Engelhardt is the author and editor of numerous books, ranging from nature writing to travel memoirs and political accounts on Africa, migration, terrorism and climate change. Born 1971 in Cologne, Germany, he studied geography, biology, law and philosophy. He has been a freelance correspondent for German public radio and TV as well as for the press since 2004, first based in Nairobi, Kenya, and currently in Geneva, Switzerland. He won several awards for his writing, among them the Prix Nicolas Bouvier in 2018 for his book «Weltgemeinschaft am Abgrund» («global community on the brink») on the state of the United Nations.
