Mark Chatterton

Mark Chatterton was born in Liverpool and attended Birkenhead School before studying at Oxford University. He was a teacher for several years before he became a writer. He has written in a variety of genres including Education, Popular Music, Transport, and Mind, Body and Spirit. Among his books are a biography of Wishbone Ash, an encyclopaedia about U2 and a self help guide for parents whose children are taking the 11+ exam. In recent years he has started to write about British transport subjects including roads and railways. He has written for a variety of publications including Q, Record Collector, Classic Rock, Railway Magazine and Railways Illustrated. He is a member of the Society of Authors.
