Eric T. Hansen

American writer from Hawaii in Berlin

Eric T. Hansen grew up a Mormon in Hawaii, where he dreamed of going to Europe and becoming a writer.

He came to Germany as a zealous Mormon missionary and married the girl he converted.

When his doubts became too much, he left the church, and lost more than his faith – he also lost his wife to divorce.

Years later, an established author in Germany, he looked back on his journey of belief, doubt and searching, and on a life living with the hole left in your soul when you lose your religion.
