Rainer Thielmann

Rainer Thielmann, born in the German city of Hagen in 1965, published his first book with Reiselyrik Verlag in 2003: "Lyrical Australia". In 2008, he published "India from Within", which became a bestseller (reprint 2011). Further photo-poetry collections about India and Ireland followed. Numerous lecture tours at home and abroad, invitations from the Goethe Institute, the German Embassy in Canberra, the Irish Embassy in Berlin, and others followed. He is an acclaimed songwriter as well, collaborated with superstar Udo Jürgens, among others, and founded the German pop-project Sonderglück in 2021. His sixth book, "India from Within 2" was published on March 20, 2025. Thielmann lives in the Chiemgau region of Bavaria / Germany.
