Christian Ullenboom

Christian Ullenboom is a freelance IT trainer and author specializing in Java, Spring (Boot), Jakarta EE, JavaScript, and object-oriented programming. In 1997, he founded the training company tutego . com and has since successfully trained thousands of participants. As a Sun-certified programmer, he conducts training sessions for international companies and public institutions.

His journey began with the C64, leading through Amiga assembly language and eventually to Java, which has become his primary programming language. In 2005, he completed his computer science degree at the University of Paderborn and was recognized as a Java Champion in the same year—one of the few worldwide to receive this honor.

His most renowned book, “Java: The Comprehensive Guide to Java Programming for Professionals”, has been a standard reference for years. Other successful publications include “Spring Boot 3 and Spring Framework 6: Build Scalable, Modern Java Applications with Spring and Spring Boot—From Fundamentals to Advanced Techniques” and “Java Programming Exercises” Volume 1 and Volume 2.

Christian Ullenboom lives in Sonsbeck in the Lower Rhine region of Germany. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling the world.
