Timothy Speed

Timothy Speed (born 1973) is a British-Austrian neurodivergent researcher, artist (autistic / ADHD / AuDHD), writer and human rights activist. In his essays, literary works, and research interventions in companies, public authorities, and institutions, he examines the future of work, poverty, structural violence, and diversity.

His work combines research, art and activism, in the sense of Artistic Research, understanding knowledge production as an embodied and relational practice beyond purely market-oriented logics of value. Speed’s work represents an independent neurodivergent epistemic position and constitutes a substantial contribution to the critique of prevailing structures of labour, knowledge, critical autism studies (neurodiversity studies) and power in complex societies.
