Thorsten Dargatz

Thorsten Dargatz is a graduate sports scientist from the German Sport University Cologne, a certified athletics coach, and an experienced medical and science journalist.

After completing his studies, he worked in clinical and outpatient rehabilitation, later serving as a conditioning coach in the German handball and football Bundesliga and as a lecturer at a college for physiotherapists.

His first book, Back Training, was published in 1994. Since then, he has written more than 30 books on fitness, health, wellness, and nutrition. As an editor and author, he has contributed to publications including Bild am Sonntag, Welt am Sonntag, Focus, Handelsblatt, Stern, Bild, Men’s Health, and numerous magazines.

Most recently, he co-authored Stress – The Silent Fattener with nutrition physician Daniela Kielkowski, which reached the Spiegel bestseller list.

Thorsten Dargatz is also co-founder of panthr, a startup developing smart textiles for precise movement analysis in sports.
