I've been an author since I was 44. Most of my tales are within the H.P. Lovecraft genre, but not all. My Lovecraftian stories (the ones that require readers to be familiar with Lovecraft's work) appear in The Taint of Lovecraft (which includes a novella set in ancient Egypt) and in several anthologies. I also write fantasy, supernatural horror not related to Lovecraft, sci-fi and horror-humor tales. Many of my tales contain historical settings/situations that are very extensively researched. Taint is currently out of print, but a 2nd, expanded edition will be out by spring of 2018. A third collection of my tales, none related in any way to Lovecraft, will hopefully follow. My Jack the Ripper tale, "When the Means Just Defy the End," was reprinted in "Pulp Adventures" magazine in July of 2017, and "The Black Massif" (a tribute to Clark Ashton-Smith's Zothique fantasy tales) will be reprinted in that same publication in September of 2017. I'm currently working on a 4th and final story featuring my characters Jeb and Martin, and I am working on completing what will be my one and only novel. It is set in ancient and modern Crete, and I consider it my best work.
I'm also an artist, having illustrated books, magazines, etc. A few examples of my bxw ink drawings are shown here on this page. I also have done several airbrush paintings.
My 1970s photos of Joan Patten's exclusive rubbings of Mayan stelae will be published by an Australian University in the near future as the only surviving record of some of these monuments that have since been destroyed, weathered, or stolen.
In 1979, I spent a month in Iran about 3 months before the hostages were taken. The government sucks, but I met wonderful people there and relished the history. A photo of me doing a rubbing at Persepolis is on the back cover of the 2nd, expanded edition of my first collection of stories, Ancient Exhumations +2.

I enjoy hearing from readers who like my work! I stay out of the blogs and chat rooms, however. I have been a guest speaker at several Lovecraft conventions and film festivals, but I no longer attend any of these.
