Welcome Readers, hope you enjoyed my book Glendale, AZ Then & Now. It is my first published book. Up until its release I was a published journalist while serving in the US Army. I'm proud to say that I'm one of the last Army personnel who can call themselves a WAC (Women's Army Corps).

I truly enjoyed writing this book since another passion of mine is photography. I tend to see the world as if I'm looking through the lens of a camera. Researching Glendale Then & Now was fun. Finding out the history was like a huge scavenger hunt. Sometimes one source would lead to another.

I never realized that Glendale, AZ had such a wonderful history. From the tallest flag pole to ostriches, country singer Marty Robbins and telephones in the home; Glendale had a lot of first for the entire state of Arizona.

I love to read which is probably why I've worked at the Phoenix Public Library for the last 30 years. I also love to write and recently used the Publish on Amazon function to publish my first mystery, adventure and romance as well as a couple of kids's books.

These titles are: Death Checks Into the Library, Bon Voyage Cal, We'll Always Have Egypt and Take a Chance on Love. My children's books are Go Away Kitty and While I Sleep.

I've also written a romance under the pen name Anita Guy.

When I'm not writing or working I belong to a women's adventure club called Sisters On the Fly. Perhaps you've seen us on TV or in a magazine. We camp out in tiny antique trailers and love to fish.

To add to the adventure called life I recently took up fencing and kayaking. I've also recently 'rediscovered' shotgun shooting and archery. Told you I like to keep busy.

My rescue dog Jazzy; a Cavailer King Charles Spaniel, has me well trained and wrapped around her little paw.

Hard to beleive that I have time to write but I'm now working on a western and another kids story.

Keep on reading!
