Tim Martin has more than 30 years manufacturing engineering experience in the electrical and electronics industries where he designed entire manufacturing systems as well as lean equipment. In 2010 he transitioned from manufacturing to healthcare where he now focuses on integrating the Toyota Production System philosophies into the delivery of lean healthcare. Tim is also co-author of the book New Horizons in Standardized Work: Techniques for Manufacturing and Business Process Improvement. He holds a BSEET from Purdue University, a MSM from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a Lean Bronze Certification from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
