After forty years in the trenches of complex litigation, I decided to draw upon my experience and write novels about the "dark side of the justice system." The Beneficiary is my first novel and I am about half way through my second one which is tentatively entitled "Shattered Justice."

And of course my favorite subject is the Nadine Griffey Academy of Kenya. It is a qualified nonprofit named after my late wife which sponsors orphaned children from the slums of Nairobi, Kenya into private boarding schools. Our goal is to break the cycle of poverty that forces these children to be born, go to school, marry and ultimately die in the slums because they have no way out.
