I've been writing stories since I was five and discovered as a teenager that people loved to read them.
I live in New Zealand but my novels are set in the south of England, where I grew up. I write about women coping with contemporary womanhood, the delicate balancing of partners and children, the frustrations and joys of family life.
Back in the day, I used to produce my books on my home printer and bind them on a sewing machine (with much cursing and groaning, I must confess). I was delighted when I discovered how to publish an e-book.
It's fantastic, finally, in answer to the people who always ask, 'Have you written another one yet?' to be able to say 'Yes, help yourself, it's available at the touch of a button.'
