What would I like you to know about me?
I love research--micro-research. I have the ability to sit at a microfilm reader for hours pouring over the most minute details and thoroughly enjoy every minute of the activity.
I love discovering connections. I will be researching one woman's life and find a tiny thread that leads me to connect her with someone else whose life I have researched. This fuels me to keep going!
I love sharing my knowledge with the world. History has the ability to enrich our lives. I enjoy being on stage as Hamilton or Adams or just as an author. I find audience questions make me put together the information in my head in combinations I would not have thought about on my own. Fascinating!
And, last, I love a good conversation!
For the traditionalist: I was born in Seattle, Washington. My wife and I currently live in Virginia. I am working on books about the Lovejoys, the Hamiltons, and the Niebuhrs.
