Lauren Lesmeister

North Dakota native Lauren Lesmeister has been a teacher, farmer, actor, cook, musician, businessman and presently writes and researches documentary videos. In addition to writing cookbooks, music, and short stories, he is currently researching books on pirate food and bootlegging. He is close to completing a Guatemalan cookbook.

Lauren has written for The Bismarck Tribune, Costa Rica Travel Magazine and other publications; he has also recorded a CD of original music, "once in a blue blue moon..."

Having lived in a number of states, Canada and Costa Rica, Lauren presently resides in North Dakota again, "downsizing" would be an appropriate word.
