Albert Wolfe

Albert Wolfe is an Executive Coach, University Instructor, and Optimist based in Guangzhou, China since 2005.

His publications include:

- a techno-thriller young adults

- a guidebook on how to learn Mandarin Chinese without taking formal classes

- 2 teacher training manuals

During his second year in China, Wolfe started the popular blog (Laowai Chinese) to share what he was learning about the Chinese language. The blog got the attention of publishers and he produced a printed book (Chinese 24/7) in the same casual style as the blog.

In 2011 he published his first novel (Faceless): a futuristic thriller about the dangers of social networks. The novel made it to the semi-finals (top 50 of 5000 submissions) in Amazon Breakthrough Novel Contest.

In 2015 he and a colleague at Peizheng College published a training manual (Coach Them to Speak) for the many foreign teachers who come to China with very little teaching experience.

In 2017 he and the same colleague, Elizabeth Mitchell, founded The Fountains and published The Fountains Teachers Guidebook as a way to explain the teaching philosophy and also provide training resources for the staff.
