It has already been translated into Dutch, Spanish, Romanian and Bulgarian. The book has been positively reviewed by dozens of major news outlets (among others Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Foreign Affairs, Times Literary Supplement, NRC, El País, El Mundo, Merdika, Ex-Ante). Storm has received 3 major Dutch research grants and has been a visiting scholar at the Faculty of Sociology and Political Sciences of the University Complutense Madrid, the Faculty of History of Oxford University and the Department for Global History of the Free University, Berlin. Before his nationalism book, he has published three other monographs, first one on Spanish political thought around 1900 (in Dutch), then on the rediscovery of El Greco (in Dutch), and finally a book on the construction of regional identities in Spain, France and Germany (in English). All these books have been translated into Spanish, while the Discovery of El Greco has also been published in English. He edited several volumes, for instance, on national identities at world fairs, theoretical perspectives on nationalism and regional identity construction.
