Bruce Elliot

Bruce Elliot is the pseudonym for fiction of poet Edward Field and novelist Neil Derrick. They started writing together when Neil lost most of his vision in 1972. Field is the author of many books of poetry as well as a memoir "The Man Who Would Marry Susan Sontag." Derrick has had many paperback novels published under various names. His novel 'Sticky Fingers" by "Eleanor Bartlett" was published by Grove Press in 1970, and "The Potency Clinic" by "Bruce Elliot" came out from Bleecker Street Press in 1978, later published in a German language edition by Albino Verlag as "Die Potenz Klinik". Together, Field and Derrick published another big novel "The Office", this one under the name of "Bruce Elliott" (Ballantine 1987). They have lived for many years in Greenwich Village.
