Carol E Matthews

Carol Matthews (1970- )lives with her husband, three children, and various animals in Virginia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in film and a Master of Arts degree in English literature from Salisbury University.

Her non-fiction essay "Fear and Loathing in Adolescence: Heckerling, Hughes, and the Renaissance of the Teen Angst Movie," was published in The Encyclopedia of Hollywood 2nd Edition. While she enjoys writing for academic publications, she has a love for creative writing, especially in the science fiction and fantasy genres.

Her hobbies are writing (of course), reading (of course), traveling, and entertaining her friends and family. When she is not writing she can usually be seen out and about experiencing life. That is, after all, how she is inspired.
