Just a quick note to reviewers that are unhappy with the dates that I use for my work about the Celtic Tree Calendar. Sometimes I am accused of just being wrong. Please be advised that all of the tree calendars are modern adaptions and that we have no way to know if a calendar was used in ancient times. The calendar that begins in December/January is credited to Robert Graves and is well known. The calendar I use begins at the Celtic New Year and I explain in all of my books about the ogham why I choose this moon calendar.
There is no real correct calendar. I advise folks to choose the one that they vibe to. In choosing your own personal birth tree you can have two trees or choose the one that you feel closest to! Many people do not associate the tree teachings with time at all.
I use a calendar because it helps me in my teaching. My book entitled: Celtic Tree Ogham: Rituals and Teachings of the Aicme Ailim Vowels and the Forfeda incorporates a thorough explanation of why I choose the Samhain Calendar but also presents Grave's calendar and other systems. This book incorporates the teachings of the last ten ogham of the Celtic Tree Calendar.
