Gail Trebesch Opper was born and raised in Michigan, though she also spent a few of her early years in Florida. She now splits her time between Kentucky and Florida. Her first book, The Great Deception, was recently awarded a 2011 Christian Choice Book Award in the area of Bible Study. Lives have been changed after reading her book and then studying the Bible from cover to cover, leaving denominational biases behind. Gail also received a 2011 Christian Writers Award for a short story she wrote entitled A Mountain Moment. She is married and the mother of three children as well as a grandmother. She enjoys entertaining residents in nursing homes and all water sports.
