Susan Ayers

Dr Susan Ayers has worked as a psychologist in medical schools for over 15 years. She currently works as a professor at City, University of London, and a visiting professor at the University of Sussex. Her textbook Psychology for Medicine, written with Richard de Visser, covers a wide range of topics relevant to medicine, including the influence of psychological factors on health, communication skills and psychological interventions. Susan is also an editor of the Cambridge Handbook of Psychology, Health and Medicine which is widely recognised as an authoritative and comprehensive handbook in this area.
