I am a native born Texan who grew up in a small Texas town named Floydada. I was married to a wonderful lady at age 19. We raised five wonderful children, four boys and one girl. The children are all grown now with college degrees of their own. I have seven grandchildren.
I was educated as an advanced technology mechanical engineer with degrees from Texas Tech and Stanford Universities. During the sixties and seventies, I worked for IBM and General Motor's Research Laboratory. Later on, we moved to a 10,000 acre Texas ranch near Matador, Texas which we operated with our own herd of Hereford cattle.
During my time on the ranch, I developed software that was marketed nationally under the title MSC/pal. I also co-authored a book "Finite Element Applications With Microcomputers", that was published by Prentice Hall.
My interest in religion began in the sixties, as I worked with engineers gathered from all over the world. In my last position at IBM, I reported directly to Ray Abu Zayyad, who came to America from Jordan and was raised in an Islamic culture. Ray later became the laboratory manager.
My contacts with Islamic and Jewish followers led me to realize that I knew very little about their religion or mine. It is with great relief that I have had time at this stage of my life to intensely examine the Christian Bible. It can be very frustrating to talk religion without a clear understanding of the Bible. There are many false teachers in America today, both believers and non-believers.
I hope my book helps eliminate some of the confusion.
