Kaye Wilson Klem: I graduated magna cum laude with a degree in journalism from a large Midwestern university, where I was also managing editor of the college newspaper. I worked as a newspaper reporter and feature writer for a New England daily newspaper, THE HARTFORD TIMES -- which some time after I left folded over a circulation figure dispute when it was sold. That time as a reporter was one of the most exciting of my life, and a treasured memory. With a small child to raise, I started my first novel, TOUCH THE SUN, which was published by Doubleday & Company. Then I was encouraged to write popular historical romance novels by Fawcett Gold Medal, where two were lead titles: RECKLESS FIRES and EAST OF JAMAICA. Fawcett also published DEFIANT DESIRE, which was my first with Fawcett, and went into a second printing. I wrote a Hollywood saga, MIRRORS, published by New American Library; and a more traditional historical novel, RIDE FROM THE NIGHT, published by Carlyle Books--all now on Amazon. A new historical romance, DARE THE WILD WIND, set in Scotland and the Caribbean, will soon be up on Amazon, and three other new novels are on the horizon.
I enjoy exotic travel, music from rock to classical, films, theatre, and--of course!--books are my constant companions. Happy reading to everyone!
