Jerry Earl Brown

Jerry Earl Brown was born in East Texas where he spent a rowdy boyhood till, out of high school, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps.

This put him in the diverse company of young men from all over the country who were as green and rough-hewn. In the process of trying to remold him into its ethos, the Corps taught him discipline and endurance — primary needs for a writer.

Before seeing his first novel published, he was in and out of college, attended writers' workshops, worked as a construction laborer, freight handler, truck driver, lumber-jack, singer/guitarist, policeman, and freelance writer; with stories and articles published in various men's and outdoor magazines.

His novels run the gamut from science fiction to present-day mystery/thrillers with a cutting-edge science or metaphysical element in them. His intellectual interests through the years have remained the same: literature, history, music, metaphysics, movies and science.

His recreational interests have generally been of the outdoor variety: travel, wilderness camping, hiking, mountain climbing, mountain biking, skiing and scuba diving. A westerner in heart and mind, his home has for many years been in the Rocky Mountains.
