Jacqueline Hansen Maggiore

Jacqueline Hansen Maggiore was born in Appleton, WI. She and Sister Carla were lifelong friends who met in kindergarten and continued their friendship until Carla's tragic death in El Salvador in August 1980. Maggiore traveled to the Maryknoll Archives, El Salvador and Chile in research for Vessel of Clay. She is a graduate of Marquette University and received a Master's in Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In 1999 she retired from a social work career, resides near Milwaukee, WI and is active with Maryknoll Affiliates, Gesu Parish, and global peace and justice efforts. Maggiore is co-author of Fluent in Faith - the Gift of Mary McCormick (Marquette University Press, 2013) and author of Aqui Quiero Estar, the Spanish translation of Vessel of Clay (Catholic University of Chile, 2012 - ediciones.uc.cl).
