I loved books when I was 2 years old. I led "church" on the back porch at 5. I began a long journalism career at age 18. I entered pastoral ministry at 40. Now, a certain number of years later, I've put all that experience together.

I formed my publishing company, Hoopie Girl Press, in 2007, naming the company name reflecting my West Virginia heritage. In July 2010 I published my first book, The Preacher Lady's Cookbook for the Hungry Heart, my collection of 500 recipes gathered from church picnics and potlucks.

In fall/winter 2010 I will publish Death in the Parsonage, a cozy mystery featuring a woman pastor in fictional Biddlebourne, W. Va. Can you guess what West Virginia town my parents lived in?

I love God. I love writing. I love publishing. I love helping my writer friends publish their great work through my company.

My next books after Death in the Parsonage will be Death on Sunday and The Good Old Girls, two more cozies about the folks in Bidddlebourne.
