Cynthia Saver

Cynthia Saver, RN, MS, is a nurse with more than 35 years of editorial experience. As an editor and a writer for print and online, she's seen all parts of the publishing world. Cynthia worked with 25 other experienced nurse editors and authors on Anatomy of Writing for Publication for Nurses, fifth edition, which takes a fun, practical approach to writing. Although written primarily for nurses, other healthcare professionals find it helpful as well. The book received a Book of the Year Award from the American Journal of Nursing. Cynthia presents programs on writing for publication (as well as programs on communication), from one-hour sessions to all-day workshops. She has written for many publications including the Journal of Nursing Regulation, Nursing Management, American Nurse Journal, AORN Journal, OR Manager, and the American Journal of Nursing, to name a few. Cynthia helped launch American Nurse Journal, the official journal of the American Nurses Association, and served as its editorial director for many years. Her previous experience includes editorial director for a medical communications company, book acquisitions editor for Sigma Theta Tau International, and executive vice president of editorial for Nursing Spectrum.
