Jeanette Harder has a bachelor’s degree in Bible and a master’s degree and PhD in social work. She has conducted research in child abuse and neglect prevention for more than 10 years. Jeanette grew to know and love children and families touched by child abuse through her many years as a home visitor and foster parent. She is on faculty at the Grace Abbott School of Social Work at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Jeanette is an active member of First Mennonite Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. Jeanette is married to Stan; together they have a son who came to them by open adoption.
