Jean Baur

Jean is an author and speaker and has written several books--the first two on career issues and one about her therapy dog, Bella. In the past year she became an indie author and founded Salt Cove Publications. Her first children's book--a beautiful board book: "What Do Toes Do?" came out in October, 2015. The second in the series will be out mid-March, 2026 and is titled "What Does Your Nose Do?" These are charming books for babies and toddlers and show children of many backgrounds. She calls this book, "a little book making a big difference" as she's donated copies to women who are incarcerted, a NICU, literacy groups and libraries.

Jean also designs and delivers workshops and presentations for library staff and was a member of the National Speakers Association. For special occasions her current therapy dog, Rudy, comes with her to events and always impresses the audience with his sweetness and amazing tricks.
