James O. Barnes is an author of fiction and nonfiction whose work ranges from mystery, supernatural, and speculative stories to practical books on business and personal growth. A career accountant and longtime small-business owner, he brings a practical eye to his nonfiction and a strong interest in character, place, and human motivation to his fiction. He previously operated a small press for nearly a decade and is now published through Peltonville Press.

James lives in Northern Ohio, where he continues to write, research, and develop new projects, including mystery, supernatural, action, speculative, fantasy, and nonfiction. When he is not writing, he enjoys history, travel, and exploring the places that often find their way into his stories.
