Egon Theiner

Egon Theiner was born in Bolzano, Italy, in 1968 but has been living in Austria since 1995. However, his "leitmotiv" in life is the latin saying: "Ubi bene, ibi patria" (I'm at home where I feel well).

From 1989 until 1999, Theiner was a devoted sports journalist at different papers like "Zett" in Bolzano, "Salzburger Nachrichten" in Salzburg but he wrote for Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Sueddeutsche Zeitung, Züricher Tagesanzeiger and other important media as well.

In 1999, he published his first books. Until now, Theiner was author of 20+ titles with sport and/or self management topics.

In 2004, he founded his own sports book publishing company, called egoth (EGOnTHeiner). The biography of former ski jumping star Matti Nykaenen was published in english language there.
