Frances Richter began her writing career with "Friend of the Firm," the first novel in the Sheldon Bailey Mystery series which was introduced in 2008. The second in the series, "Love Valley," was published in September, 2010.
"Friend of the Firm" introduces us to Charlotte's finest lesbian homicide attorney, Sheldon Bailey, whose resolve to resist the tantalizing Liv Jordan hurls her into a collision course with the evil designs of a psychopath. In "Love Valley," when Sheldon heads to the little horse town known as Love Valley for a rodeo, the last thing she expects is to be roped into a murder. The town is turned on its heels when strapping cowboy Bart Tilley is brutally murdered and curious sexual behaviors begin to transcend the deceptions that infest the community.
Frances has lived all of her life in the deep south, most of it spent in the beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina area. She takes an interest in child welfare issues and volunteers her time and talents working in the community for neglected and abused children.
