​Having traveled many miles from her Ohio birthplace--from Virginia to Minnesota, from Michigan to Texas--she has moved homeward and settled in Muncie, Indiana, with her patient spouse and clowder of misfit cats. When she's not writing, Wendy teaches college kids, watches way too much TV, and uses investigative genetic genealogy to help identify John and Jane Does.
