C. William Karel

C. William Karel and C.W.K. are pseudonyms assumed by Charles William Karelitz, a novelist who currently resides in Oahu's Waikiki, who set his sights on a bold new goal after retirement: producing entertaining adventures that are just-plain-fun to read. The grandson of prominent German actor, director, and producer, Charles Willy Kayser (Kaiser), and his wife, Ruth Sersen, a German stage singer, the author likely absorbed a fair amount of artistic endeavor in his DNA. Since retiring from Government work, he has focused his genes toward the goal of rekindling enthusiasm among those who have lost interest in books, and to ignite a passion for reading — especially among young adults. Toward this end, the author produced a series of novels and a compilation of short stories.

Following the four-part Year in the Mind series, in addition to a volume of short adventures and a seaworthy epic on big-wave surfing, a radical change in focus resulted in the greatest challenge yet: a brief but thought-provoking treatise on the most elusive subject of all — our final worldly journey.
