Sue Kendrick

I was born into a Leicestershire farming family and grew up in a close, rural community just a few miles from my present 20 acre smallholding.

I have bred and reared a variety of livestock for both pleasure and profit including pedigree Suffolk sheep and British White cattle.

Lambs For The Freezer is my latest non-fiction book on sheep keeping and is aimed at the small scale breeder wishing to produce food for their own consumption.

I also write fiction and poetry, much of which is based on my rural roots and often features a heavy dash of folklore, mythology and the supernatural. I have won or been placed in numerous short story competitions, have self published two poetry anthologies and my latest short stories, The Inbetween and The Digfield Conjuror have just been released on Kindle.

When not writing or farming, I play melodeon, dances with a border morris women's side and sing with a community folk choir. In other words, keeps pretty busy!
