C. Douglas Birkhead

Realizing the job market was not kind to someone with a Philosophy degree, C. Douglas Birkhead entered the Air Force after graduating from the University of Utah. After nearly two decades of travel and adventure, including ten years as a flyer, he finally decided to explore his love of writing and set out to find his voice.

He discovered that his literary interests touched many genres most notably Science Fiction and Horror. He has published several pieces in a number of anthologies and literary journals. Recent credits include stories in Static Movement's Speculative Long Fiction as well as 2013: The Aftermath from Pill Hill Press.

These days he hangs his hat in the suburbs of Oklahoma City where he lives with his wife, two children and faithful dog Magnus who likes to lie at his feet while he writes. Feel free to drop him a line at CDouglasBirkhead@gmail.com.
