Being abandoned by both parents at the tender age of four and being raised in the Bronx in foster care has given me a lot to write about. Needless to say, I faced many challenges. Writing later became my escape. I learned to write in many formats and genres. I am a Screenwriter, Playwright, Author, and Poet. Starting out with natural talent, I took writing courses and seminars to sharpen my talent. I have been writing since 1993. I started out writing plays, and all four of my powerful plays were done onstage in The Bay Area of California from 1995 - 2000. Deceptive Vows was originally a play that I wrote and produced entitled "Until Death do us Part." It was performed on stage in Oakland, CA., in 2000 and had an encore presentation in 2001. I have written screenplays, from action to horror, and several other books. I enjoy writing stories in thought-provoking, and highly entertaining genres. I currently have the Deceptive Vows screenplay version, which I am working on getting shot as a feature film. The award-winning, 5 min. 51 sec. short film version of Deceptive Vows has eight film festival selections and four awards. The short film version currently has over 500,000 Youtube views and over 6000 "Thumbs-up" since posting it in 2018. I am the CEO and Founder of Tavares Entertainment, LLC., a GA-registered publishing, and creative writing services company.
