Carl C. Perito was born and currently resides in Hong Kong, China. His parents are originally from the Philippines. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in English Studies in Music from the University of Hong Kong in 2002 and a Master of Arts degree in English Studies, also from the University of Hong Kong in 2003. Perito has three radio dramas broadcast by Songbirds, Radio Television Hong Kong [RTHK] in January 2002 and several poems published by the Department of English's literary journal, "Yuan Yang: volume 2" at the University of Hong Kong.
Perito would later have three poems and a short story featured in "Fandemonium
Selected Short Stories & Poems From Talented Facebook Writers" by Outskirts Press in March 2011. In November 2011, Perito would have a poem selected in "Four of a Kind A Winning Collection of Fiction, Non-Fiction, Poetry, and Anecdotes" by Outskirts Press. In February 2012, Perito had a poem and a short story accepted into "Fandemonium Volume 2" by Outskirts Press.
Outside of the realm of Literature, Perito was a finalist of the Eastern Winds Ensemble Composition Competition held in February 2002 and is currently a member of the Composers Authors Society of Hong Kong [CASH] since 2002.
