Rodney Lawrence Thomas

I grew up in West Texas on a farm near Lubbock, Texas. I graduated from Roosevelt high School near Lubbock and attended Texas Tech University and ultimately graduated from Lubbock Christian University. In 1989 my wife, and my three children moved to Washington, England. I spent 17 years there and planted a church. During this time I also studied at the University of Durham, completing a Master degree in Theological Research. I then completed my PhD. In New Testament in 2007.

I also had the great honor of serving from 2000 to 2006 as a Magistrate for the North Petty Sessional courts of County Durham. My wife and I moved back to the United States in September of 2006, where I served on the staff of the Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock, Texas until I retired in 2021. I served for the last 13 years as the Executive Minister. I also taught classes at Lubbock Christian University.
