Roland Mann is a writer, editor, and university professor. As writer, he is best known for his work on the comic series Cat & Mouse, a comic which ran for nearly two years, garnered critical acclaim, was optioned by Hollywood, and led Roland to other work. Other comic titles Roland has written include Trumps, Tiny, Rocket Ranger, Miss Fury, Planet of the Apes, Battletech, Krey, Demon’s Tails, and others.
As editor, Roland is best known for his work as a Malibu/Marvel Comics editor where he edited The Protectors lines of comics and many Ultraverse titles.
Roland is still involved with comics and is currently the Editor and Publisher of Silverline Comics, a line of independent comics which includes such titles as Divinity, Twilight Grimm, Kayless, Teen Beetle, and others.
In addition to his work in comics, Roland has been a newspaper editor and an advertising flunky. He currently teaches creative writing at a university in Winter Park, FL.
Roland earned an MFA in Writing from Spalding University, a MA in English from the University of North Alabama, and a BS in Creative Writing from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Roland was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and spent his growing up years in Mississippi. He is married to the love of his life, BJ, and they have two children: Brittany and Brett.
