Dodd Starbird
Dodd Starbird is a managing partner for Implementation Partners LLC, a consulting company that leads change efforts for clients by integrating best-in-class process redesign, team performance, and change management tools. Implementation Partners exists to inspire leaders to transform their organizations and deliver exceptional business results by developing efficient and effective processes and giving every employee a chance to contribute their best work on an engaged, sustainable, winning team.
Dodd began his career in 1990 with the U.S. Army, and after achieving the rank of Captain in 1996, he joined Coors Brewing Company to lead two production teams and facilitate Lean process improvement efforts for its manufacturing operations. In his last role at Coors, Dodd led the warehouse and delivery operation for the company’s flagship Denver distribution center. He earned a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Cordis, a Johnson & Johnson Company, in 2001 and then began his career as a consultant, becoming a co-owner of Implementation Partners in 2004.
He is the author of "The Joy of Lean: Transforming, Leading, and Sustaining a Culture of Engaged Team Performance" (ASQ Quality Press, 2016) and "Building Engaged Team Performance: Align Your Processes and People to Achieve Game-Changing Business Results" (McGraw-Hill, 2010).
Dodd has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from the University of Denver. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife, Celeste, and their four children.
