Robert M. Hardy

Author, engineer, business counsel - Robert M. Hardy grew up in Canton Mississippi. He holds BS Electrical Engineering, BS Industrial Management from Mississippi State Univ., MS Management Science from Florida Tech., Professional Engr's. License, and Honorary Ph.D. Uzhgorod National Univ.

Hardy spent a first career in electrical engineering and computer science. He designed and developed many firsts in high-tech systems, including the NASA Saturn Apollo Space Program among others. He holds five patents, and he spent 29 years with General Electric Co., including 15 years in GE Global Research Center. After retiring as a Professional Engineer, he counseled small businesses for 12 years with SCORE (Partner with US SBA), served as Chair of the Albany, NY, chapter for two years.

He has conducted Western business seminars in Russia, Ukraine and China. He led development of a Small Business Training Center in Uzhgorod (Ukraine) National University for which he was awarded the Honorary Doctorate.

His book, "The Boss is In: Incapable, Incompetent, ..." has been used by a large aerospace company in a management training program. "The Boss Is In" is Hardy's first official book publication.

He and his wife live in Winston-Salem, NC, where he serves on boards of several nonprofits, including Sister Cities International. In his spare time he and his wife, Pat, enjoy their antique cars and show dogs, and visits from their four grand children. Robert may be contacted at rmhardy1@aol.com.
