Paul B. Roache MD

Paul Roache MD is an Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgeon and Sports Medicine doctor in San Francisco, California. He is specializes in treatments for Rotator Cuff disorders.

Double board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopedic Sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons, his training is extensive, including a Fellowship in Shoulder and Upper extremity surgery in the US and an AO Fellowship in Rotator Cuff Surgery in Zurich Switzerland. Along with his private practice, he is a faculty instructor in Shoulder arthroscopy for the AANA Orthopedic Learning Center and has also been a visiting attending surgeon during ski season at Mt. Crested Butte Ski Clinic in Colorado.

His own personal path to seeking balanced health led Dr. Roache to yoga. Realizing the healing benefits of yoga, as well the need to help prevent orthopaedic injuries in practice, he became a certified yoga teacher and now teaches Yoga Anatomy to yoga teachers. He also works with local yoga teachers and their students to develop techniques for injury identification and practice modifications to prevent further injury.

He is a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Arthroscopic Association of North America. Internationally he is an member of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy, The European Shoulder Association, The International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.

Dr. Roache is a native of San Francisco and currently lives in San Francisco. He enjoys swimming, yoga, scuba diving, salsa dancing and skiing.
